Does anyone know why the DVY is performing so poorly relative to the Dow Jones Average? If you look at a 3-month chart, you will see that the DVY has underperformed the DIA by 10 percentage points. I strongly suspect that the fund manager is using some kind of high risk options, swaps, etc. in order to maintain the dividend payout.
