but during the conference call transcript he seemed to be pleading with idcc to do something with their hoard of cash.

he said at these prices, idcc could buy a quarter of their shares.

actually, at these prices, idcc could probably buyback half their shares.

but they have other plans.

and, its not a bad idea to keep some cash in reserve.

esp since they'll start seeing the nokia itc legal fees coming in, and definitely new fees if they appeal in federal court.

i noticed the last comments were something like "if we appeal" , when right after the nokia review rejection they were pretty sure they were going to appeal.

again, telling people what they want to hear.

and people just eating it up.

heres a fair question.

if you take the amount that idcc wanted, and subtract all of the legal expenses they will occur filing the itc case, the itc review and the federal court case, and the action in new jersey, then you have a certain amount left over.

wonder how that compares to what nokia offered idcc (if they ever offered idcc anything)?

the difference is, we would have already received a payment already, and we wouldnt be wondering how many more licenesees dont infringe, and we might even be working on some new nokia projects like we did in 2g.
