Today ITC's price closed higher than where I sold.

Long term I know everything we're thinking about is good, but short term, we've still got Bush to deal with. When does Congress reconvene. The talk of a second stimulus package has given me the jitters. I don't think we can afford it and all the talk that surrounds it send the markets tanking. With the talk of it, I think there is more bad news on the horizon. That's why I pulled back on today's big gains in the solar sector. Everyone thinks now is the time for them because of Obama and the elections. But I think that soon reality will dawn on them again and there will be one more emotional reaction. I don't need to be all in right now.

My thinking is if there is a further rally tomorrow in the solar and alt energy sector, which ITC is a part of in an indirect way, that I'll take more profits. Then buy back if it drops. Or buy back if the rally has legs and miss out on a few points if I have to. I'd rather be in a more mobile position. I invested more than I wanted to on the drop which kept dropping so now I need to sell until I know it's going to keep going. I'm not yet convinced that the overall market has turned bullish.

I can see it on the consumer level because there are more cars on the roads, the restaurants are packed and the parking lots aren't empty. The stores are well stocked. But stuff like car sales are nonexistent. Repair shops are doing good and people are making improvements on cars they already own. In publishing, there are issues with book orders. Returns are at an all time high as booksellers return unsold books to the publishers. So, even though the crunch hasn't hit everything, there is still a long ways to go.

Basically, I'm with you. It's still time to be cautious.

ITC reports on the 5th. We'll see how that looks. Buying low and selling high isn't easy to gauge these days. Especially if we're still in a bear market. ????

The 50 day ma is still a long ways up for the DOW. And everyone thinks once it reaches there the market will crash again. I think it will take months to get there. But I really don't know so I'll watch day to day.
