While the commodity stocks are taking a breather after the run up, I was thinking that a comparison between IVN and Freeport McMoran (FCX) might cheer us up. IVN's market cap is 4.4 Billion, FCX's is 30 billion. FCX's Grasberg mine (which is by far its biggest asset) is probably larger than OT is going to ever be. But the way things are shaping up in Australia, the Mount Dore/Mount Elliot (plus other tenements) finds might end up rivaling OT in value. My proposition is that the value of OT + Australia might just be => Grasberg, meaning that IVN could easily reach or exceed FCX's 30B market cap in the forseeable future. Obviously the market likes to see cash flow and discounts 'prospects', but I don't think the market really gets what IVN has. Friedland has struck 'gold' not not once, not twice, but 3 times and counting.
