Also, it looks like they want to create a significant presence in North America and an AMEX listing will help in stock based acquistions.
The company looks healthy with good growth prospects.
Their biggest competitor is Delcam (DLC.L) which in terms of sales is about 2.5 times bigger. VI group seems to have a better range of products and stronger growth. Other competitors are Gibbs, Mastercam and a bunch of others. (See http://www.tenlinks.com/cam/products.htm)
GVI looks like a good long term buy and hold, but would be a lousy stock to day trade.
