While I tend to agree with your line of reasoning, I would have chose some different "less mean-spirited" words than "filth" and "lazy" when describing American workers. You might be found guilty of a hate crime these days! hee, hee, hee... :-)

Despite what you are saying about efficiency gains in productivity as part of the reason for unemployment numbers, it is clear that revenues have been negatively impacted through the Great Recession. In fact, many of the decent earnings results for Q3 were due to cost-cutting vice better revs. Yes, cutting out the fat is part of a recession's effect in renewing our economic engine but the revs say the engine ain't so hot and maybe we need to accept it will not be hot for some time.

Finally, what does this mean to us investors? Me, I am continuing to be about 80 percent in cash. But I have to say the up and down market action since August has been unusual and is tough to read.
