I have to respectfully disagree. I have made 80% this year on my HRP-D investment, not including the 16.6% yield on the dividends. I've made 33% on my HRP-C investment, not including the 12.3% dividends. I didn't purchase any common stock but many of those who did have at least doubled their money. I doubt if there is much more upside in the near term for either the common or the preferred stock but HRP stock holders this year have done very well.
Say what you like but I think Portnoy and Co. have done a good job over the last year or two. Perhaps a long time holder would have something to complain about.
