been buying cure 81 hams for forty years or more, took them up on their offer of $10 rebate on Easter ham, fulfilled the terms on the rebate form and sent it in on time, told my honey she would be soon getting back 10 bucks from good ole Hormel.
never came meanwhile did a similar offer couple months later with bridgeford on a brisket and that check already arrived. so I just finally found a copy of rebate form I used, after trying to find it online in a maze of other rebates etc, and gave them a call at number on the form. got a fellow with indian {not native American} accent named Tom who said he would research my info. He came back on line and told me they didnt handle my rebate offer. He would provide no other number or online contact site for me, and even though I told him the number I called was the one on the rebate form, he wasn't moved. I asked him what the center was where he was located, and he told me it was the Hormel rebate center. so perplexed, I asked for his supervisor, hoping to get another number or better explanation. I did tell him I wasn't a happy camper and would not be buying any more cure 81 hams until they fixed the matter or at least gave me a good, make that a very good explanation. so he said he would give me the supervisor, then he hung up after music played about a minute. I tried calling again twice, and got a shrill tone such as a fax machine. what kind of crap treatment is this. I am an investor and think you folks ought to know just what great customer service your company is providing. I may soon be an ex-customer, and of course will place hormel stock at the bottom of my prospective buy list. also, I find that when being jerked around by customer service guys who provide no service, the best policy is to state calmly and cooly the facts of the matter on such an investor board as this, and often when their shame is exposed to millions, they will suddenly get right, or at least give you a call to assess the matter. right now I have no idea how to contact them regarding their offer, which one has to question concerning good faith, looks like I have to tell the wife, she won't be getting her ten bucks, and guess how long it will be before she lets another Hormel product get into her house. heck I won't even be able to sneak a can of Spam in now.
