Ya but.... Hormel's earnings were increased, not lowered. They did not announce a small increase from lowered expectations as you indicated. The price of fresh pork is exceedingly low right now. It's hard to increase revenue while the price of fresh meat is 20% lower than it was a year ago. Now, I really am not certain of the exact price of fresh meat right now vs one year ago and the 20% figure is just my estimate, but I bet I'm pretty close. Don't get your shorts in a knotted bunch because the gross revenue is lower.
