Reading some of the Bizjournal headlines relating to Harris polls just makes you realize how pathetic the news machinery has become. It is sad to see companies commission an outfit like Harris to do nothing but illuminate the obvious, then call it news. "Stress makes people sick", "Denver is a great place to live", "Denver leads in stress", "Job outlook gloomy in New York state"...Duh. I've got one, "Ducks prefer water." (Based on a telephone survey of 2,431 ducks, +/-3% margin of error.)

What is even more pathetic is that companies who hire Harris don't realize they can make up their own results, just like Harris, put it out there and people will ignore those results just as much as they ignore Harris-poll results. Do companies out there really need a proxy like Harris to promote their dubious self interests? It all feels dirty.

HPOL shareholders deserve better.
