I definitely believe that a buyout is the best course for HGSI.

They should buy a smaller, developmental stage biotech company because:

-- They should exert their independence by being the buy-ER not the buy-EE. How many times do we see the birth of a new pharmaco? HGSI COULD be the next one, and, their homegrown early pipeline has not been heard from in years despite their "New Targets Initiative" (or something like that).

-- I don't want $40 a share (or whatever) now. I'd prefer an $80 a share pharmaco a few years from now. With the development of Albuferon and LSB with partners Novartis and GSK, HGSI has learned how to take a drug from the lab to the FDA. Now, they have the experience to do it alone.

-- Besides, if HGSI gets acquired by a huge pharmaco, we won't have this forum to be abused, abuse someone else, or read countless pumping/bashing posts.
