Motorcyclist dies in Dane County crash

Nov. 7, 2009 11:18 p.m. | A 60-year-old man was killed Saturday after his motorcycle collided with a car on Highway 69 in the Town of Montrose, the Dane County Sheriff's Department said.

Authorities responded to the crash at 4:43 p.m. and declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene. The man had been riding northbound on Highway 69 when a Toyota Camry turned south onto the highway and into the path of the 1992 Honda Goldwing.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet. The driver of the car was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured, said the Sheriff's Department.

The crash is under investigation.
