I think the data plan will prevent vast number of people from using a smartphone. And these group of people should be the market that Garmin need to focus on in the near term. Therefore I think Garmin should make a traditional cell phone with big screen and GPS. In the longer term if this phone becomes popular then Garmin can bring out a high end cell phone like a smartphone.
