Few hedge funds would be stupid enough to short Gilead. The problem is that many investors have convinced themselves that they have to invest in financially shaky cyclical businesses and have dumped anything with any defensive properties, even if, like Gilead, those defensive businesses have the unstoppable revenue and earnings growth momentum of a freight train. But don't be sad that Gilead is undervalued--just double your position.
