The people around the Al Qaeda mutts and their ilk KNOW who they are and what they're involved in. They trust no one but family and tribe, so they KNOW what their family members and tribal members are doing. Do you think those butt-munchers give a rat's patootie about how many civilians they kill or maim? Hell, they kill far more civilians than we do and everyone knows it. You don't see them rioting in the streets about that fact do you?

If they're not smart enough to say "Look here, Abdullah. What you're doing puts everyone around you in extreme danger of having the s**t blown out of them. I'm taking the kids, loading them on our mule, and getting the hell away from you. And speaking of the kids, why is it that you stand in the midst of a bunch of them and launch your attacks?"
