I'm not sure, but one predictor maybe the huge spike in volume of the 17.5 Jan10 calls. Traded almost 50,000 contracts today pushing the open interest over 100,000. I have an order to buy some at $.35 tomorrow. Playing the Employment report. I figure that if its good maybe a signal that rates maybe going up in the midst of the "recovery" and gold goes up as people hedge their inflation expectations. If the unemployement number is bad that may signal that the recovery is just a "recovery" and rates remain low which means the dollar gets weaker as gold rallies...

Just a thought.... Someone's definitely speculating that GFI will rise to the $17.50 area by January.
