Foreign tax is withheld immediately which is around 25% of that 6% (and somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I THINK you still have to pay taxes on what's left) so really you're looking at about 4.5% in dividend income, so less than a Verizon or an AT&T, and paid less frequently too.


Not quite.. Last year FTE divy was 1.4 Euro and in one of the presentation they projected this year to be 1.5 Euro.. So far they declared and distributed 0.6 euro.
so May distribution should be around 0.9 Euro. Also the 25% foreign tax withold is only applicable for IRA account. For non-IRA account the foreign tax withhold is only 15% and if you file foreign tax credit (Turbo tax has the form but you have to ask it to file the form. Otherwsie, it will declare a deduction in schedule A) and you should be able to get most of the tax back (only for taxable account)...
