Since October 19th the Dow Jones utility index is down more than 5% (high to low). Most of the electric utility companies are trading much higher than average volume. Seems like some of the mutual funds are selling. I don't know why this is happening when interest rates are so low and dividends are so high. I just don't see any end to this trend. Most of the analyst that I see on CNBC are negative on the electric utility stocks.
