Well, that must say something for Farmers Bank; if it is still going well despite the recession, what insight can I offer, except to again, remind you that you are talking about the national economy and what Obama says, but nothing in particular about the financial health of the bank specifically. Frankfort is a high employment town due to its being the capital city. Sure, Frankfort is feeling the pinch of the economy . . . hell I read the paper, we are going to have to raise taxes and all that stuff, but our governor said we said we don't "surrender" to difficult times in his state of state annual message, so why do you think Farmers Bank is any different. It is just a part of what Frankfort and Kentucky stand for. When the going gets rough, both "thrive". Once more, that is what the bank did in the '30's and in other recessionary times. If you have particular evidence of hideous financial ongoings, like Enron and insider trading, or corruption, or major legal issues, then report them to the AG of KY and department of financial institutions or state auditor. Also, realize that there are 120 counties that are hanging on in these lean times, and their local banks, much smaller in demand deposits, and all the rest, are either on the verge of closing, as you would lead ALL to Believe, or else they have undertaken appropriate measures to withstand the downturn. In sum, have some creative ideas to offer Farmers, not just that they are going to be closed, or that I somehow am fashioning some false sense of security of economic stability existing in Frankfort. I suppose you have lost a lot of money in the stock market or don't know much about our bank, which I am very proud to be a shareholder of, and I resent it very much that you don't have more confidence in it, OK???!!! Geez!!
