You couldn't use TNT to close or merge Farmers Bank with another financial institution. That bank is here to stay under its current name just as the city of Frankfort is equally stubbornly and rigidly transfixed to withstand any natural disaster or major flooding of the Kentucky River. Hell, Farmers has been a "frankfort fixture" since its inception in 1850, thus withstanding all major national downturns and panics virtually since America (certainly Kentucky) became a modern economic power. Don't hedge your bets on anything changing at Farmers any time soon!

If bank officers are not properly managing the company, then that is a problem with entirely different priorities. The state department of financial institutions can enforce any needed regulatory corrections and if necessary take Farmers to court. But Farmers is never going to let itself sucumb to what American Founders did; that is, let itself be bought out by an out-of-state bank. Farmers is simply too much interwoven into the socal, political and economic fabric of the Frankfort community. If anything was changed, it would be like moving the capitol dome down to the city library, or tearing down the old state office building. Some things are meant to stay the same in Frankfort, and the Farmers Bank will always continue "as is"!! That's all their is to it!!
