Looks like the net loss would have been around 16-17 cents, excluding all of the items they list at the bottom of the earnings release. When I compare FBN's results to ETH's, I see a company that is performing stronger.

The gross margin INCREASE at FBN is heartening, in fact. The thing that is disappointing is why, sequentially, we had a $13 million INCREASE in SG&A, when sales were only SLIGHTLY up. That question needs to be asked by someone in the conference call. Some of it is due to one time items....but not ALL of it.

Looking this over again, I'm thinking we may not have as much downside on the stock as I originally thought. We've already dropped a LOT, and the long term value of FBN at $3.85 is ENORMOUS.

Who knows, maybe the Street will be more heartened by the decrease in net debt to only $25 million, than they will be upset by the fact that FBN missed the Street estimates. REMEMBER: Stock prices are supposed to discount the future....and the future still says that this is a company that can make probably $1.50-2.00 a share in EPS again, in a few years....and will probably be selling for somewhere around $20-25 again, in that time frame.
