C'mon man. Are you the disgruntled employee who posted this, or just repeating it? Do you really think your comment has useful bearing for an investor?
In either case, you have to know by now that business has no heart. If not, learn that. Its not a person, its a financial entity, and while small companies can possibly make decisions based on a policy of putting employees first, most companies, particularly public ones, can't operate that way. And all public companies, have to focus on short term issues while still maintaining the trajectory to meet LT objectives. That's basic management. The first duty of a public company is to bondholders, then shareholders, then customers, then employees. And maybe that's upside down and backwards, particularly from the point of view of "labor", but that's just how it is. I've worked for a lot of tech companies, and I've been mostly pleased with the treatment I've gotten from most of them, even the ones that had to lay me off, or in which the demands for productivity became a major challenge/headache. I've also worked for non-tech companies that had no business at all being inflexible, or treating staff poorly, but were anyway. Some are mediocre, others are good, a small few are great, and yes some are terrible, but the trend is really for the better companies to persist and thrive. As an investor, I like to know if employees are happy, how morale is, what if any problems they have with turnover and retention. It can be a factor. But I think in this economy you're not going to find a lot of people quitting one job to go to another. Most jobs that are vacated are due to layoffs or termination, not to a voluntary resignation. So I think most tech employers are going to have no problem flogging their remaining employees. Rating :
