At about 3:53 PM yesterday, there was a Dow Jones item concerning the 10-Q indicating the better earnings for Q2. This caused a pop in the price which had been trading down, and the price closed at $5.59 per share.

Usually, the 10-Q and earnings reports are made outside of trading hours for the AMEX. It could have been a "mistake" for the 10-Q to be filed about ten minutes early.

In any case, the earnings were better than what I had expected; even the liquor stores had higher revenues and higher operating earnings. The reversal of deferred taxes added $122k to the bottom line. When the company is not developing new units, BDL's earnings power can be demonstrated, even in a poor economy.

I think the stock could recover some more in the next few days.
