I have added ERJ to my portfolio a month back. I have travelled in Embraer jets and, lately, found their plane quality and reliability to be aleast as good as those by Boeing and Airbus. In the globalizing world, demand for safe passenger jets is bound to increase rapidly as more and more third-world countries join the air travelling world. This company's jets apparently will be very competitive pricewise and, on top of that, it will be blessed by the government of Brazil, the country which is bound to be a formidable nation (one of the top most powerful nations of the world besides the U.S.A., China, India, United Germany and Russia)in the coming decades. With increasing prosperity and technology advancement of resources-rich Brazil, this company is bound to be doing better as years pass by. I will not be surprised if it becomes a main suppliers/manufacturer for Brazilian defense forces. It will be to the Brazilian government what Boeing is to the U.S. government. I think, it's a good long-term hold.
