I wanted to express how shocked and sorry I am regarding Ken Oshman's diagnosis with lung cancer. I'm sure Ken will meet this challenge with all of his might and spirit. I am sure many of us are including Ken in our prayers, and hope for a strong and full recovery.

Mr Oshman touched my life many years ago in 1983 when I was hired for my first tech job in Silicon Valley at ROLM Corporation. He and Bob Maxfield had us new hires stop by for a informal get aquainted discussion and I remember how young, real and down to earth they were. I went on to work there for many years, in different positions, and I can still vividly remember Ken regularly walking by the "CBX Systems Test" Dept, with dozens of CBX and Phone/voice Mail systems lined up in various stages of testing -- and his often waving and saying hello, and inquiring which customer my assigned system was destined for. Ken and his management had a great and pioneering attitude -- which created a really great place to work.

Those were boom times, and it was always a matter of extended family there at ROLM, and I hope Ken will get plenty of support from his extended family today as he faces this difficult challenge.
