Shorts who were expecting another repeat of the 2005 double dip on the re-reported PML news (By a boston globe reporter who was paid by wall st. or a hedge fund) will cover in a hurry adding to the move higher. I'm not sure of the short interest but any gap near or above 7 will trigger a short covering surge higher.
