Nice summary Ablakem. Mr. Gecht was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Company on January 1, 2000. (stock price $59.50) He has been at the helm over 9 1/2 years and now the stock price is just over $12.00.

As you point out, it is incredible what has happened to EFI while Gecht was CEO, shareholders saw an 85% reduction of shareholder value. The Dow only dropped 20% during that time.

And what happened to Gecht for his management and this massive loss.....nothing, Well, not quite nothing....actually he was rewarded handsomely, He is paid $620,000 a year, he got almost a 9% pay increase in 2008 and his bonus was doubled from the previous year to $478,800. Almost $1.1 million a year for what??? And if that wasn't enough, in 2006 and 2007 total, he got almost $2.2 million in stock and another $1.8 in stock options.

The summary -- Shareholders suffer an 85% loss of value and the CEO cleans up with an average of $3.1 million a year. No wonder EFI had to do layoffs this year. That’s enough to save the jobs of at least 15 engineers, maybe more.

Too bad Obama can’t fire him too. It's time for a new CEO.
