The Clean Energy California LNG Plant

The new Clean Energy California LNG Plant in Boron, California began delivering fuel to customers in November 2008.

The California LNG Plant was built to produce up to 160,000 gallons of LNG per day, and was designed to be upgraded to produce up to 240,000 gallons of LNG per day. The plant has a 1.5-million-gallon LNG storage tank for reserves to meet unexpected LNG demand from Clean Energy's customers and to accommodate plant maintenance procedures.

The plant is expected to be the major supplier for Clean Energy's commitment to the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach for their Clean Truck Program, which envisions the addition of up to 8,000 LNG trucks to serve goods movement needs at the ports.
