Always good to share opinions, too bad none of us possess a crystal ball.

I guess it comes down to this, if we are truly going to experience an economic rebound next year then EXC is cheap, if not the stock is more than fully priced.

Either scenario i would rather be holding EXC than the majority of other stocks that have been hyped by the so-called pundits. And as you say it provides a good dividend, with a relatively safe payout ratio.

The premise that nuclear is the answer for our energy needs is beyond dispute in my mind, how long it takes us to realize that truth maybe the bigger question.

My stock portfolio consists of entirely utility names (although i have a position in EWA). Underloved and undervalued has always been the foundation of my investment strategy. I hate to bet against myself but in this environment i think it prudent to hedge with an ultra short ETF.

My largest concern a market driven by debt and liquidity is unsustainable. And even more troubling, Bernanke is now monetizing our obligations.

Debasing the currency is also a bad idea and we are not the only country doing it.

We are already seeing bubbles form in the real estate market Asia, rising commodity prices not driven by demand, et cetera, there will be consequences.

I suspect we will see a repeat of the previous market crash, rising oil, food, other dollar denominated commodities will push an already weak economy over the edge. The tipping point? Your guess is as good as mine.

We are going to have to learn the hard way once again, you cannot cure one bubble by creating another.

And it is imperative we have major financial reforms, downsize our largest financial institutions. They are a major albatross to long term growth. Truly a crime what these guys got away with, and continue to do so.

I did not sell my EXC even though i believe it is ultimately heading lower based on my future economic scenario, i simply shorted the major indexes as a hedge.
