Hi Naresh,

Yes, since the majority of the Fund's assets are in rupee denominated local Indian shares and the NAV is reported in USD, changes in USD/INR exchange rates will impact the NAV. So, if the rupee appreciates against the dollar, the NAV will go up, even if the underlying share prices don't change. Conversely, if the rupee depreciates against the USD, the NAV will be negatively impacted. In addition to fundamental macro-economic issues that impact exchange rates, FII money flows in and out of India appear to have a significant impact on INR/USD exchange rates.

You may have checked the Fund data before the daily performance was updated. Yahoo is now showing a 7.67% gain for the Fund for March 25th, which reflects the Indian stock market on the 25th in India. All of the Fund's current holdings are Indian shares traded directly on the Indian stock markets, no ADRs or other derivatives. According to the Times of India, "The Sensex surged ahead by over 6% and the day's gains were not restricted to the frontline stocks. The mid-cap and small-cap indices also moved up by 6.3% and 4.8% respectively."

I think Morningstar will have the 12/31/07 holdings on-line tomorrow and they should calculate and post the PE and P/BV. I believe Morningstar is the data provider for Yahoo. Based on market conditions the past couple of months, current PEs and P/BV ratios for most Indian stocks would be expected to be lower now than at year-end 2007.

The Fund is obligated to pay an annual distribution.

I don't think Yahoo shows the P/E or P/BV for the Fund? I assume this will be updated as of 3/31/08. The Fund is indeed new and is quite small. Its been in stealth mode without any marketing, not even a single press release. We have been patiently waiting while it gets live on various major platforms such a Fidelity and Schwab. Marketing will commence soon. Now that the Indian market is down 30+% the timing may be good. My family has money invested in this Fund so we think its a good way to invest in India with a long-term view.

We believe that India is a very strong long-term growth story. The Indian economy is projected to grow 8% to 10% per year for many years. However, this fund and its peers are not immune to current global or India market conditions. Events in the U.S. have negatively impacted Indian stock prices. Mid and small cap stocks held by the Fund tend to be more volatile than large cap stocks. Some excellent India companies have seen their stock prices go down 50% since January. In our view that means some companies are "on sale". Also, the Rupee has lost approximately 3% of its value.

Sorry for the delay, I was traveling and didn't check the message section for several days. You are the first writer! Thank you for becoming an investor. I am not sure if Lipper or Morningstar is the data vendor to Yahoo. I will make sure they both have the 1/31/08 holdings list which should populate on-line shortly thereafter. We do not screen for dividends per se. We are looking for Indian companies with strong fundamentals and solid earnings growth prospects. Many Indian companies are good dividend payors or issue "bonus shares" or dividends shares. The Advisor believes that mid and small cap companies may provide higher long-term returns than large cap Indian companies. The Fund has a uniquely tax-efficient structure with a SEBI registered Mauritius trading vehicle so the Fund does not have to pay Indian capital gains tax. The Indian government raised capital gains taxes to 15% today, so the tax efficiency may be even more advantageous than typical dividends. Seth
