The average estimate of analysts polled by FactSet Research had been for the company to earn 50 cents a share. Looking ahead, Dr Pepper Snapple said it expects to earn $2.03 to $2.11 a share for the full year, or $1.88 to $1.96 a share on an adjusted basis -- well ahead of the current Wall Street estimate of $1.77 a share.
