Re: question 78 for Commandor?     29-Oct-09 12:57 pm
I ended up buying: SMOD, LSI, IDTI and EXAR yesterday. I'm encouraged by:
1)D-ram prices continue to go up most everyday
2)AVT strong numbers, strong orders so far into Oct and strong guidance

Another potential catalyst for semis will be Samsung report overnight. I am expecting strong numbers and bullish guidance.

On the d-ram prices increases, good for DRAM, SMOD and MU-I added to my DRAM position this morning. It may go lower as that "very hot" money of a few weeks ago continues to be "bored" and/or "impatient". However, DRAM mgt is on its way to building a $100 million company. Higher d-ram prices, PC, server and notebook upgrade cycle along with new SSD products make it a 2-3 year process.
