Just listened to the conference call. I am impressed with the CEO. He has a plan and is managing cash very well, while also reigniting growth in the current business (sales up to $6 million from $5 million last quarter). Only a few hundred thousand lost in cash this quarter. And they also have auction rate securities with $10 million par, written down to $200K, that will surely be written up in due time. So there is no cash problem here whatsoever. In fact, the cash position seems understated, and therefore the stock price still seems absurdly undervalued.
At the same time, Tim is a complete moron and management would do well to just not take any of his questions. Let him just release stupid press releases. The guy has the gall to suggest a $15 million burn rate, when the burn rate is not even close to that, and has never even suggested to be that high. He prods management for answers to a question that any investor can see as obvious. Max $5 million in burn over the next few quarters and probably less. The company lost a few hundred thousand this quarter. At most they'll lose $1.5 million next quarter, though it's possible cash burn will also be less than that. So by end of the year, they'll burn thru at most $3 to $5 million in attempt to start the mStage business which has the potential to add a substantial revenue stream. Spending even $5 million is a smart investment here, since it is 100% certain that an mStage-like product will be needed by carriers to compete against Google and offer new voice services. As investors we hope DITC gets some wins here from this new investment, and not some competitor. So I say go for the jugular and try to get some wins. mStage addresses a nascent and yet huge opportunity over the next 5 years. Best of luck to everyone and hang onto your shares. DITC will be well over $2 by year after they announce more partnerships for mStage and deal with the auction rate securities. Rating :
