I saw this same thing happen at the company I once worked. This same scenario could be said for many companies that Danaher buys. They place quotas on their purchasing departments to off-shore more and more each year until little is made internally. This is a great American tragedy where the ultra-greedy Danaher corporate executives get their bonuses at the expense of the employees. They are nothing more than rapers and pillagers that live off of the work of others and leave nothing but wreakage in their wake. One day they will have to answer for all of this.
