Since Danaher bought one company that I know about 2 years ago, I have seen a great small American company destroyed. Over time Danaher has chipped away at this small but previously triving company that was actually doing great before they bought it. This small American company continued doing well for a while after the sale until Danaher got their hands more in to it. The more involved Danaher got the worse this little American company did. Talent, budgets and resources were choked away that would cause obvious crippling damage. The people that were put in charge by Danaher were unskilled and changed frequently. It was hard to remember a name or face as they were so short lived in this revolving management. It was obvious that the people that Danaher put in charge really didn't know what they were doing. You might say this small American company was used like an expendable practice tool for learning experience of potential up and coming druids looking to put a feather in their cap.
