The banks still have millions of homes in their shadow inventory that have not been foreclosed on yet. If market is really recovering there will be millions more homes for sale from the banks and from people that have been waiting for prices to rise and market to improve to sell their houses. Only reason there is any so called recovery in housing is because of the tax credit for first time home owners and the 0% interest rate. Consumers do not have the cash nor job they used too. Recovery is years away. Look at what happened to Japan after we sold them all the real estate at high prices they have been in a recession for 20 some odd years. This fake recovery will only last as long as the stimulus lasts and then the economy will drop off a cliff. No jobs = no recovery.
