For all those here who like bringing things to the attention of the SEC, you might want to have them look into the trading activity prior to the material announcement on Nov 3rd that the distribution would be suspended in 2010.

For 22 straight trading days (Sept 21-Oct 20,) the activity was typical -- every day was less than 179,000 units and several were less than 100,000. Then on October 21 (with no major news,) over 600,000 units traded -- probably one of the top 5 volume days in the long history of FUN's MLP.

I wonder if, just by some random & totally-unrelated coincidence, the board learned around that time that there would be no way to avoid the distribution suspension; that they'd have to announce it on Nov 3rd? If so, in yet another random and totally-unrelated coincidence, I wonder if some "friends" got visits from magic birdies who told them they might want to sell some units?

Well, I find it interesting just to think about the timing of such things. I'm sure the SEC loves seeing 5-sigma trading activity a couple weeks before a blockbuster announcement too.
