because the dollar has been so weak its hurting there exports. just look at what the colombian peso has done over the last few weeks now at 2,013 compared to the dollar when a few weeks back it was significantly lower. Thats because the uribe goverment has issued statements to help weaken its currency as many are starting to do all over the world. Look at Brazil as well trying to weaken its currecny by increased taxes on investments. see the pattern
