I feel that somehow ACORN is already a force in the steady destruction of Carver.

Meanwhile, even though ACORN people might themselves become depositors and then stand outside recruiting more depositors, that is no help to Carver.

Deposits at banks are Liabilities. The bank needs more Assets. Loans are Assets. To make money, banks must make loans. Carver does not know how to lend. That's its biggest problem.

Its inability to lend is a function of long-term lousy management.
