This may be the crux of Capstone's anemic sales. They are fine whenever a sale involves an MT that will be isolated from the grid, like an emergency gen set run off a transfer switch or a remote installation on an oil rig. Signing all the distributors in the world won't help if Capstone's equipment hasn't been approved for connection to the grid, and therein lies the problem. Each district has its own oversight committee and utilities company and they each have a say and an approval process to follow. All the more reason to have a high end residential emergency gen set and charging station in the product mix. No approvals necessary because they won't be connected to the grid.
