Seems like a BHAG, but CTEL is shooting for 500,000 broadband subscribers by year end 2010, up from 391,000. I think with the current "SuperCar" campaign, people will be flocking to CTEL for service. (I know I would, 100 Mbps for under US$13 a month is freakin' crazy). I wonder what happens if PCCW starts to post a declining subscriber rate? PCCW growth has been trending down, I would bet it goes negative next earnings report. Will people (investors) then start to believe in CTEL and their BHAG "to be the largest IP provider in Hong Kong by 2016”? With 1.3m PCCW broadband subscribers and only .39m CTEL broadband subscribers, there is lots of room for CTEL to take market share. And they can, their service is superior is both quality and price when compared to the "big boys" at PCCW. I think David will slay Goliath in the end.
