Well if it goes down that far then I would think so would the others in this price range and so might the regional banks.

FWIW I have compared this to others in this price range, and this and maybe 1 or 2 others IMHO have the most chance to survive out of those.

Obviously there are others that are still profitable and/or issuing dividends and those trade much higher.

Right now what is important to me is NPAs, reserves and NTBV or what is roughly TCE, which should give this one a fair amount of time even if it did suffer more large losses. Beyond that if you look at the chart you will see they pulled out of the savings and loan crisis, which was just as bad by some measures, and they thrived during that recovery. What they are doing now looks like the right things to me.

As for the ones that might go down that low, geez, there are several which have huge negative book values, massive NPA ratios like over 20% or things like overreaching issues by insiders, yet they trade at similar and sometimes higher levels, it looks ridiculous to me, some of those are insolvent yet they just spike up on no news.
