Boy this board was being overtaken by the bears left and right.

Buffet buys BNI for $100/share. Looks like a lot on the surface, but in reality he has gotten a bargain. The bears here have been looking strictly at comparison numbers between this year and last year. Of course traffic is down, its old news and is and has been reflected in the share price.

What the bears (in this and other industries) are missing is that individuals with vision are looking 6-12 months into the future. Railroads are the most efficient means of moving goods across this country and will continue to grow in the future.

On a slight aside, Buffet has made a huge bet that coal will continue to be a vital source of electric power in the future. Only nuclear has the potential of altering that and politics being the way they are I dont see much of a chance that we will see any push to build plants in the next couple decades despite all the "green" talk.

Anyway, longs enjoy the day, (in reality it is only a step in the journey).
