I doubt that Redbox will be hurt by streaming or downloading movies. The studios are whining about the $1 dollar DVD rental, do you think that they will allow anyone to stream their movies for a dollar? I have Charter Cable and “Video on Demand” is $5.99 per movie. The laws are different for streaming and downloading movies, verses renting a DVD that has been purchased. If you own the DVD you can rent it for whatever you want, per the first-sale doctrine.
