GS Bonuses - Morally Wrong?     19-Oct-09 03:21 pm
GS made a huge profit, that's good for the shareholders and the markets. In the process of turning the compmay around, from collapsing, the workers and directors at GS want a huge chunk of the cash they have wonderfully generated for the shareholder, (by the way these bankers have a wage), which they are not legally entitled to!

In order to get their hands on this pile of cash, they craftly hand out bonuses (on top of their salaries), so the cash goes out from the company or plc directly into the workers and directors pockets. The shareholder is the loser in the long run as these bonuses would have eventually been handed out as dividends or in the case of capitalization etc. given out as B-shares which could be sold on the markets, rights issues etc... which is generally in the interest of the shareholder (the owner of the company).

These workers want a lot of extra money for the work they have done for which they have already been paid to do!

This in effect creates an unequal, unjust society where a few hundered individuals are more favored than the rest of the society who work with a fixed wage for a living.

Ok they have done a wonderful job of making a profit (hook or by crook), why should they get extra cash or in other words outrageous bonuses which is in effect entitled to the shareholder.

This bonus system can only be stopped by the shareholders, who are individuals, institutions, pension funds, mutuals, etc. etc. by using their vote to veto this system of bonuses or the government can issue new legislation curbing this bonus system.

If the workers for a company is offered 100-200-300 or 400k, he would be insane to reject this offer when nobody is saying a word against it.

As for burnet of cnbc ... worked for GS no less... lol hahahhehhe

Am I led to believe that these workers will not perform to the max if they will not get a bonus? Like no bonus no performance, surely there must enough grads, etc. from top schools who will work for a fixed wage.

As for charities, again it's the shareholders money that is pumped out of the company, the workers don't give a penny. lol.

This outrageous bonus system must be stopped or a smaller bonuses may be considered.

Otherwise ... there will be all tese comments you'll read on this messageboards....

Have a nice day (if you can).....lol.. hahhah

the shareholder is the looser in the long run...
