Not disparaging anybody here. 12% is a good return.

My point about "doubling" applies in today's market because many stocks are very cheap and offer a doubling of your money, with very high probability, within 3-4 years...some of these are selling well below their book value.

You can get 12% for next years with very high probability by just owning JNJ, KFT, BRKA, XOM, COP, WMT ...this is with extreme low risk.

CRESY is not low risk. As a business by itself it is low risk but it carries a currency risk as well as risk of unfavorable local govt policies. So if you are expecting 12% return, why wouldn't you just invest your money with a lower risk and high probability investments such as JNJ, BRKA, etc.

Here are a few other cheap stocks with simple businesses that can double/triple/quadruple your money in 1-4 years:

EDGW - 25 million net cash, 22 million of NOL, 54 million tangible book...niche IT consulting...market value = 35 million

RCMT - IT/Engg consulting...selling at 2/3 book value

MHH - IT Temp Staffing ...10 million net cash, 90 million revenue, very low cost operator, insiders own 58% stock, market value = 17 million

ASGN - IT/Health Care/Lifesciences/Physician staffing....selling at 5 time expected FCF.

PCCC - IT VAR for medium sized business, significant insider ownership, selling below tangible book....expect a boost after Windows 7 release
