After today's performance, some might question if Celera's earnings report was a big disappointment. IMO it were definitely not a disappointment and had a lot of good elements to it.

But herein, we come down to the motives that some shareholders have coming into a 10Q. That is, there are some who will buy a stock going into a 10Q with hopes of a surprise announcement to the upside. Buy on the rumor so to speak. And of course, if they don’t get that announcement, they immediately sell on the news – or in this case sell because of no news. IMO, that’s what we saw today.

I look at this in a little longer time frame. Not much longer; cause the buy and hold myth has been totally discredited during the last year. But I ask myself will I get more than $6 for these shares before the next 10Q (or 10K as the case will be). And the answer is: ABSOLUTELY! How much more will depend on what kind of company PR’s come out; but for me, $6 is a firm support level and we only have upside from here during this next Q. Heck the company has near $4 a share cash and no debt and they’re at breakeven on the cash flow. I can wait this one out.
