They don't have to own or even borrow shares to sell stock. If they see a stock that they want, they just sell it down mercilessly against all opposition until it gets to a price they want to buy in at. Prices are no longer set by the supply demand for shares. These fellows don't play by the rules that you and I must follow. That's right, folks: the investment banks that are now commercial banks when it comes to needing billions of taxpayer money are now running willy-nilly rampant, skimming the profits from the stock market, gulping down billions more of investor's capital and paying out billions of bonuses to the good-old-boy hoity-toity frat rats and silver spoon parasites on their payroll, who have never done an honest day's work in their lives and have not contributed one iota to the productivity of the U.S. or the happiness and security of humanity, but have instead esconsced themselves in the mega-mansions and persuaded each other, in their country club confabs, that they are really all swell and wonderful fellows. and they're doing it with your money. Phewwwee!! So much for the intergrity of markets, there goes the whole basis of investment capitalism. PHfttt....
