Veterans Integrated Service Network 6, VISN 6, intends to negotiate on behalf of the VA Medical Center, Salem, VA with Cepheid for a GeneXpert Infinity, 24 Testing Site via a Cost-Per-Test (CPT) acquisition. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy this requirement. GeneXpert Infinity is a fully automated real time PCR component that integrates a complete on board nucleic acid purification system with amplification and detection in a self-contained system, Part Number GXINFINITY48-24. Included are GeneXpert cartridges, extended service and diagnostic software for use with the Cepheid Invitro Diagnostic Xpert cartridges for the performance of GBS, EV, C.diff, MRSA, MRSA/SA Skin and Soft Tissue (SSTI) and MRSA/SA Blood Culture (BC) plus BCR-ABL RUO, VRE RUO, MDR TB RUO, and MRSA/SA Nares RUO.This notice of intent is not for competitive quotes. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 334516. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document is available. However, parties may express their interest accompanied by supporting literature to the Contracting Officer no later than November 16, 2009 at 4:00pm EST.
