Bill Larson and CMC's use of LIFO inventory valuation is shameful. This was an extremely ugly quarter and year without it,- perhaps the ugliest in CMC's history. Apparently the market and investors were not fooled or impressed.
This used to be such a conservative company, particularly when it came to accounting practices. Those days are long gone. MO Rating :
